And a 79's tray is genuinely wider than a HiLux or Ranger tray, so the 79 skips the middle sizes entirely: our finder steps every 4x4 79 straight up to the big cuts. No guesswork, no "should fit" — it's in the logic.
The catch, and on this vehicle it's the big one: builders like Norweld make every tray to order, so no two guard widths are gospel. The tape measure inside the guard is. Legal side: effective wheelguards are required on every wheel, and on trays the flap usually completes the system — WA guidance puts the lowest edge around 230mm off the ground (300mm for off-road builds). Check your state's rules.
300 and 200 Series wagons — Flappie Frame territory
A 300 or 200 has no tray and no tub — just arches and mouldings — so there's nothing for a sized flap to bolt into. Wagons run the Flappie Frame: 300mm wide, adjustable 205–255mm drop, $100 a pair, printed frame-cut sets $110. Frames bolt on once; designs swap in minutes. Same story for a 76 wagon.

What size for a 79 with a Norweld or MITS tray?+
Full-size trays run a size up — it's baked into our finder. Most alloy builds take the 350×450mm cut ($225); steel or factory-style guards take 300×350mm ($145). But Norweld build every tray to order, so measure inside the guard before you commit.
Do Flappies fit a 300 Series (or 200)?+
Yes — wagons run the Flappie Frame (300mm wide, 205–255mm adjustable drop, $100 a pair) because there's no tray guard to bolt a sized flap into. Printed frame-cut sets are $110, and designs swap in minutes once the frames are on.
Do you make the extended front flaps for the 79?+
No — that's a different product entirely: alloy bracket kits from other mobs, roughly $200–330. Flappies cover the rear tray guards, which is where the printed designs live and where nobody else is playing.
