Flappies started the same way a lot of good ideas do — out of frustration.

I was looking for custom mudflaps that didn’t look cheap, peel after a few months, or feel like an afterthought. Everything on the market felt generic. Nothing matched the ideas I had in my head. So instead of settling, I decided to build something better.

With a background in graphic design and business (and a long history of starting things that may or may not have worked), I got to work turning Flappies into a real product. I pitched the idea to Tyla, as I always do — and, as always, she backed it 100%.

Fast forward a bit, and Flappies has now been up and running for over 12 months, with 1,000+ custom sets shipped worldwide. What started as an idea has grown into a brand worn on rigs across Australia and beyond — from tradies and tourers to weekend warriors and anyone who wants their vehicle to actually reflect who they are.

Along the way, we’ve also added our newest (and smallest) team member — our baby — which has only doubled down our commitment to building something we’re genuinely proud of.

Flappies is about expression.
