Isuzu D-MAX Mud Flaps
Custom mud flaps for the D-MAX, printed by hand in Australia — 100+ designs, or run your own. Handy, because the factory rear flaps probably weren't going to survive your lift anyway.

X-Terrain, Blade & tubs
The factory in-arch flaps don't survive a lift — tubs run the Flappie Frame, $100 a pair with an adjustable 205–255mm drop. Printed sets $110.
Frames for tubs →SX tray-backs
The flap bolts flat inside the tray guard. 4x2 235×255mm, $90; 4x4 on stock tyres $115; on 33s, step a size up.
Size my tray →Lifted D-MAX? The factory rear flaps were already dead
On a tub D-MAX the factory rear flaps live up inside the wheel arch, bolted to the body. At stock height they're fine. Add a two-inch lift and 285s and they hang low, drag, and eventually get torn off by the very mud they were meant to manage — half the D-MAX owner groups have that exact thread. It's the most predictable flap failure in the segment.
The fix on tubs is the Flappie Frame: 300mm wide with an adjustable 205–255mm drop, so you set the height to suit your lift instead of hoping the factory rubber copes. $100 a pair of frames, $110 for a printed frame-cut set, and designs swap in minutes forever after. X-Terrain and Blade are tub-only, so that's your answer regardless — and no, the X-Terrain's flares don't change it. They're factory dress-up, not a mounting face.
SX tray-backs — half the councils in the country can't be wrong
The SX cab-chassis with an alloy tray is fleet Australia's default D-MAX, and it's the easy one: the flap bolts flat inside the tray guard. 4x2: 235×255mm, $90 a set. 4x4 on stock tyres: 270×300mm for steel or factory guards, 300×280mm for alloy tray builds — $115 either way. Running 33s or more: 300×350mm steel ($145) or 350×450mm alloy ($225), because bigger tyres throw further.
Driving a 2020-on Mazda BT-50? Same platform, same logic — tub means frames, tray means a sized flap. The badge doesn't change the maths.
A dealer alloy tray usually takes a 300mm-wide cut, but custom builds are custom — the guard your builder welded is the only spec that matters. Sixty seconds with a tape measure inside the guard before ordering saves a week of postage after. Not sure what you're measuring? Flick us a photo.

Do Flappies fit an X-Terrain?+
Yes — it's a tub with factory flares, so it runs the Flappie Frame (300mm wide, 205–255mm adjustable drop). The flares are styling, not a mounting face, and there's no flat guard behind the rear wheels — frames hang off the body and take any frame-cut design.
What size for an SX tray-back?+
4x4 on stock tyres: 270×300mm for steel/factory guards or 300×280mm for alloy tray builds ($115). 4x2 fleet spec: 235×255mm ($90). Measure inside the guard to confirm — dealer trays are standard, custom builds aren't.
My D-MAX is lifted on 33s — what changes?+
Bigger tyres throw mud further, so tray builds step up: 300×350mm on steel ($145) or 350×450mm on alloy ($225). On tubs, nothing to stress about — the frame's adjustable 205–255mm drop covers the lift, which is exactly what the factory in-arch flaps couldn't do.
Is it the same deal as a BT-50?+
For 2020-on models, yes — D-MAX and BT-50 share the platform, so the same setup logic applies: tub → Flappie Frame, tray → sized flap measured inside the guard.

Popular D-MAX mud flap designs
Flappies makes custom mud flaps in Australia for the Isuzu D-MAX — Flappie Frames with an adjustable drop for X-Terrain, Blade and every other tub (the lift-proof answer to the in-arch factory flaps), and sized tray cuts from 235×255mm to 350×450mm for SX fleet builds. Printed by hand, made to order; the 2020-on BT-50 runs the same logic.
