Size my tray →New variants land faster than moulded flaps do — frames don't wait
GWM ships a new Cannon variant about as often as most brands ship a press release — Cannon, L, X, Vanta, XSR, then the Alpha on top — and the moulded-flap aftermarket is permanently a step behind, leaving owners of the newest one trawling eBay for something that fits. The Flappie Frame skips that race entirely: 300mm wide, adjustable 205–255mm drop, hung off the body, so it fits the day the ute does — no waiting for someone to tool up your variant.
Every dual-cab Cannon is a tub, and tubs have no flat guard face for a bolt-in flap — which is exactly what the frame is for. Frames are $100 a pair, printed frame-cut sets $110, and designs swap in minutes. Alpha included — same answer, same hardware.
Cannon-CC with a tray — the measured-cut path
Running the cab-chassis with a builder-fitted tray? Then you've got real guards, and sized flaps bolt straight in: 4x2, 235×255mm, $90 a set. 4x4 on stock tyres: 270×300mm for steel or factory-style guards, 300×280mm for alloy trays — $115 either way. Gone to 33s or bigger: 300×350mm steel ($145) or 350×450mm alloy ($225).
And here's the thing about the whole Cannon aftermarket: every flap on offer is a plain black moulding. On a ute bought for value, a printed set is the cheapest personality upgrade going — nobody at the lights can tell what you paid for the ute, but everyone can read the flaps.
The parc is young — nothing older than 2020 — so this isn't about replacing perished rubber, it's about coverage and looks from day one. Tray owners: Cannon-CC trays are dealer- or builder-fitted like any ute tray, so widths vary — sixty seconds with a tape inside the guard beats guessing. Not sure? Send us a photo.

Tradie Flappies
The Cannon's the value play for a work fleet — and value means budget left over for branding. Logo and number on the back of the fleet — signage that keeps working long after the ute's paid off.

Do Flappies fit a GWM Cannon?+
Yes — the Cannon's a tub, so it runs the Flappie Frame (300mm wide, 205–255mm adjustable drop, $100 a pair) with $110 printed frame-cut sets. Swap designs whenever you like.
What about the Cannon Alpha, X or Vanta?+
Same answer across the board — they're all tubs, and frames aren't variant-specific. While moulded kits chase each new release, the frame already fits it.
I've got a Cannon-CC with a tray — what size?+
Tray sizing applies: 4x4 on stock tyres takes 270×300mm on steel/factory guards or 300×280mm on alloy trays ($115); 4x2 takes 235×255mm ($90). Measure inside the guard first — tray builds vary.
The Cannon aftermarket is thin — will anything actually fit?+
That's the point of the frame: it hangs off the body with an adjustable drop, so it doesn't need a Cannon-specific mould to exist. It fits by design, not by catalogue.
